Burleigh Headland - Gold Coast, QLD

This cultured couple were making the transition from London to Burleigh Heads.

It was pivotal that we created a eclectic place of contemporary finishes to assure the transition was smooth with them feeling like we had created their own urban sanctuary on the Gold Coast.

This apartment was recently completed but we felt to increase the contemporary selections we would redo the existing kitchen, pantry,en-suite and media room to install the highest quality of wool carpet glass mosaics and luxe marble and Oak finishes.

This couple have an eye for detail so this project was focused around minimal pieces with maximum impact.

The custom Oak paneling to the kitchen and master bedroom created interest and detail. We complemented this palette with jade highlights in textured linen, velvet and an art silk rug.

The string clean lines and block colours make the apartment more London Lush as opposed to coastal chic.

The colours do reflect the beautiful jade colours of the ocean and the Oak brightens the entries palate.

The Master Bedroom is large and open and gives a suite feeling with a high end hotel vibe.

Double track drapes with a linen fabric ensure a cosy and classy finish to the picturesque view.

The Bay Hair Co

When helping create a place of sanctuary for men and women to relax and make time for self care a few key elements are critical.

-A Comfortable Setting: To create comfort and really vitalise on space with the existing floor plan we created floating stations, These ceiling hung floating stations allow plenty of light and movement to flow through the space whilst dividing the room and creating a main focus as you enter the salon. We then paired the stations with tan faux leather salon armchairs that work with the palatte and add a comfortable yet practical element, the style and size of these chairs have been continued through to the rinse basin, as the salon isn't large we didn't want to overwhelm it with too much impact or different furniture.

-A Relaxing Vibe: As the salon is literally metres from the Beach a coastal nod was necessary. Beautiful wide board oak flooring complement the seafoam textured wallpaper and work in harmony with the VJ panel painted in pale grey. We have then added an edge to the coastal palette and introduced small amounts of black for depth and a sharp detail. The softer tones were selected as these are "calming" colours and help create a tranquil salon.

-Practical yet Appealing Lighting: The two lighting selections were pivotal in the design process. Select track lighting with spotlights means we can move and focus the lights to the correct areas ensuring shadowing and light is ideal for colouring. The other main light and feature to the entire salon in our custom design and made neon light. "Be kind to yourself" was created to add a moody glow to the wash basin and also create an important statement as people enter the salon. It is a clear sign inviting clients to relax, rejuvenate and walk out feeling like "new"

-When designing the floor plan it was difficult to fit everything into the one space. We had to allow sufficient room for a back colour / wash room, rinse basin x 2. hair dressing stations x 5, a front counter and reception for clients and also a waiting space. Designing and measuring every item in the space was important along with selecting the salon chairs and basins. We also had the floating stations custom made to ensure we had plenty of working space while out client felt comfortable.

Diamontime

This jewellery store has been family owned and run for generations.

When the younger dynamic duo in the family took over this required modern sharp, edges finishes with punches of Navy velvet.

The herringbone floor greets customers and showcases custom cabinetry with gorgeous clusters of chandeliers.

We ensured the floor plan had enough space to allow a seating area for private viewings and events held in store (not to mention husbands with tired feet)

The jewellery store is all reflected with a smoke mirror wall that opens the store and adds that extra sparkle.

High Flyer

Set in the chic D'bah apartment building this sophisticated apartment flaunts bold beauty. Showcasing a strong black and white scheme with fresh turquoise accents honouring the incredible 180 degree ocean views.

Modern Manor

This family home on the Gold Coast had a huge makeover when both the clients and I decided to gut the entire home and open the whole space up. Adding bi-fold doors and a large living and dining room meant this young family had more than enough space to entertain, hang and play.

Rochdale Display Home

This display home  just south of Brisbane needed to appeal to a large market so we kept the palette neutral and added strong features through the use of charcoal and black features. The display home was scheduled to be open 3-5 years so ensuring things would remain in vogue whilst creating impact to new buyers were a main priority for this project.

Dutton Street Residence

Colour, Texture and quirk are the main contributing factors to this eclectic Coolangatta home. The Grass weave wallpaper combined with the over dyed Turkish rug create an interesting space. This room features so many cool key pieces such as the concave mirrors or hand made vintage bowling pins there is personality in every inch of the space.

Beech Lane

This Casuarina family home was completed in 2016. This beach front property was a eclectic mix of styles to match a young artistic family.

We incorporated natural timbers, tan leather and a mix of metal finishes to create a contemporary beach front family home.

New Arrival

It was with great anticipation this nursery was set up. Whilst waiting for the new arrival the sex of baby remained unknown so using natural colours along with a fresh white base we made a mini sanctuary for both mother and baby. Cane furiniture, striped wallpaper and Animal prints work together to add personality and interest whilst keeping the space calm and soothing.

Office Etiquette

Working with a young boutique law firm allowed this project to explore a darker colour palette and feature some bold black hounds tooth wallpaper. Stearing away from the traditional safe solicitor colour palette enable an energetic space that was professional yet adventurious.

Longboard Circuit

Situated in Salt, Kingscliff this Hampton themed home showcases the traditional Coastal colour palette of ocean blues mixed with Sandy neutrals.

Layers of linen and light timber furniture are relaxed yet classic and inviting.

Apartment 405

This beach front apartment is a modern collection of unique pieces including artworks, sculptures and hand knotted rugs throughout. Each piece is unique almost as though collected over a lifetime each telling its own story.

The outlook of this home is spectacular along with the collection of adornments adding character and interest to the modern apartment.
